Position: Transportation Design Engineer / 12d Specialist

The role: 

Due to an ongoing demand for our recognised expertise in civil and transportation design, we are seeking an enthusiastic Design Engineer / 12d Specialist to join our team in Hawke’s Bay.

We have an exciting range of infrastructure design projects across the country, supporting a long list of Councils to deliver their transportation initiatives, as well as local developers and Papakāinga developments.

Our reputation is growing in the market place as the go-to consultancy for the efficient delivery of projects for our clients.

You will be:  

– An experienced and qualified Design Engineer (NZCE, NZDE BEng or similar).

– A skilled user of 12d design software, and competent in the use of AutoCAD, utilising these skills alongside a strong knowledge and understanding of Austroads and AS/NZ design standards & guidelines.

– Passionate about working on concept and detailed designs of civil & transportation engineering projects, and skilled in the geometric design of rural AWPT’s, realignments and reconstructions, and urban regeneration projects.

– Competent in estimating and contract writing for physical works contracts.

– Confident and excited to carry out construction monitoring of your own projects.

– Enthusiastic to work directly with our clients, advising and guiding them from the start of their project, through to its successful completion.

Position: Principal / Associate Transportation Engineer

SEEKING A TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL EDGE

The role:
We have an exciting range of infrastructure design projects across the country, supporting many Councils to deliver their transportation initiatives, as well as local developers and Papakāinga developments. 

As such, we are seeking a Principal to Associate level Engineer to work alongside the Managing Director to assist with the growth of the business. 

The role involves the day-to-day mentoring of the team of Engineers, overseeing their delivery of a range of projects across the private and public sectors. At times you will need to be on the tools yourself, although as the team grows this can diminish. This will be balanced by being involved in business development, client relationship-building, and staff recruitment, to support the company’s growth.


You will be:
 – An experienced and qualified Civil or Transportation Engineer (NZDE, BEngTech, BE or similar), with solid experience in leading people and delivering transportation infrastructure projects in New Zealand.  

– A strong communicator, with a good understanding of people dynamics and motivated to mentor and manage younger engineers and technicians. 

– Passionate about entrepreneurship and business strategy, which will be viewed favourably, and stormwater drainage design experience would also be advantageous, possibly allowing the company to grow into this space,

– Competent in the use of 12d design software and AutoCAD, utilising these skills alongside a strong knowledge and understanding of Austroads and AS/NZ design standards & guidelines.
